The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation and is dedicated to reducing deaths, injuries and economic losses resulting from motor vehicle crashes. They maintain a very good library of articles on auto safety with emphasis on preventing vehicle defects, seat belt, air bag, and child seat safety, and anti-theft precautions. The National Safety Council is dedicated to the prevention of all types of accidents and has an excellent section on auto safety with emphasis on training and education for accident prevention.
